CONSTRICTOR - THE STANDARD BASE TEXTILE BLOCKER

Three times lighter and twice as strong as traditional metal jammers, the Constrictor® textile jammer is revolutionizing the world of sailing, racing, and cruising. Extremely simple and flawlessly effective, this jamming system uses the principle of the textile sock. A braided sheath made of Technora® aramid fiber closes under tension around the rope, locking it instantly. The more tension is applied, the more powerful the locking becomes. Unlike metal cleats, the end is not crushed between two cams: it is not deformed, loosened, or scratched. To release the rope, simply retract the sheath. Even under heavy load, release is easy.

It will appeal to all boaters looking for simple and effective solutions. CONSTRICTOR® can be installed at the masthead (sail hook) or under a coachroof fairing (sheets, halyards). It will always be particularly discreet.

Construction :

Composition of CONSTRICTOR®:
– A metal base on which the sheath is fixed.
– A sheath with a specific mesh made of high-tenacity Technora® Black fiber.
– A Dyneema® pull cord to unlock the blocker.

Details:

Technora® Black Aramid Support Sock:
Braided sheath with specific mesh.
Black high tenacity fiber.
Good UV resistance.

Metal mounting base:
Made from anodized aluminum, this base has two fixing holes for 6 mm or 8 mm screws depending on the model (same spacing as those of traditional blockers).

Locking/unlocking system:
Simple and effective, this opening in the base allows the pull cord to slide to lock or unlock Constrictor®.

Braided Dyneema® pull cord:
Allows the blocker to be released under load and at a distance.

Elastic sheath cord:
Ensures the sheath is held in place when the textile blocker is unlocked.

Presentation :

CONSTRICTOR® is available in 5 references, from No. 6 to No. 14. Each No. corresponds to the recommended diameter of the end to be used (example No. 8 for an end Ø 8mm).

CONSTRICTOR® is compatible with most existing ropes (except those with Dyneema®, Spectra® fiber sheaths or oversheaths, etc.).
