Dyneema SK99 hollow braid
Premium version of the Dyneema SK78 hollow braid.
Breaking strength higher than steel. Very flexible and stable under load, it offers excellent resistance to fatigue, bending, and abrasion.
Ø 2 to 12 mm.
Highlights:
- Easy and quick splicing.
- Sized for UV protection; floats.
- Hot stretching.
- Lightweight.
Use:
- High-load applications, soft shackles/loops, spinnaker sheets, or halyards.
- Recommendation: add a protective cover where the line runs through cleats, clutches, winches, etc. (polyester, Dyneema, or Technora).
- A solid foundation for ropework.
Construction:
12-strand Dyneema SK99 hollow braid, polyurethane-impregnated to prevent fraying.
During manufacturing, a hot stretching process stabilizes the rope, increases stiffness, and significantly reduces elongation under load.
