How to repair a sail with INSIGNA self-adhesive fabric
INSIGNA self-adhesive fabric allows a quick and durable repair of a sail made from Dacron or polyester sailcloth. It is ideal for small tears, chafe areas or reinforcing high-wear zones.
Steps to repair a sail:
1️⃣ Clean and dry the damaged area to ensure proper adhesion.
2️⃣ Cut a piece of INSIGNA fabric slightly larger than the damaged area.
3️⃣ Apply the patch firmly onto the sail.
4️⃣ Smooth the surface to remove air bubbles and ensure even adhesion.
For a stronger and longer-lasting repair, it is recommended to apply a patch on both sides of the sail to distribute the loads.
